New song – Paper Town

After five years and two EPs — Ground Sessions (2021) and Lost and Revive (2024) — Wøødhead returns with a renewed line-up and sound, while preserving the essence of their beginnings: a blend of Alternative and Nu Metal with catchy riffs, powerful bass lines, explosive drums, and a voice that can hit you in the chest without even stepping out of your house.
The recent addition of Erkmen Esen (Eko) on guitars and production brings freshness and modernity to the band, joining Jannik, Danilo, and Timo to continue the path Wøødhead has been forging over the past few years.
Opportunities for new shows and festivals are opening the way for the band to further establish themselves in the German and European scenes, and in the near future, we can expect to see them touring across the entire region.
Moreover, the new songs to be released soon will guide the band toward the new wave of alternative heavy music that is gaining more and more strength worldwide — allowing them to draw comparisons to bands like Black Stone Cherry, Karnivool, and Alter Bridge, while never forgetting their original influences such as Slipknot, Limp Bizkit, and Linkin Park, among others.

Vocals
He is the energetic, outspoken frontman from southern Hamburg (GER), whose musical roots lie in nu-metal, hardcore, and groove metal. His wide-ranging inspirations include pop culture, political topics, and personal experiences. In addition to being the singer, and lyricist, Timo also works as the band’s video editor.
He’s passionate about sharing his social values and has a burning interest in martial arts and nerd culture.

Drums
Behind the drumkit, he forms the backbone of the band’s sound. His musical roots stretch across a wide spectrum — from various metal genres to hip-hop, R&B, and electronic music. He doesn’t chase genre purity or metal clichés.
A clear stance is central to who he is. People come first. Human rights are non-negotiable. No love to those who choose to oppress others.
He believes that music can connect and carry meaning. And that’s exactly what he aims to deliver with every hit of the drums.

Bass
Danilo is the most musically versatile member of the band. Born and raised in Puerto Santa Cruz, in Argentina’s Patagonia region, he brings with his bass a blend of influences from both Argentine and broader Latin American folk music. Having played in bands spanning genres from chacareras and cumbias to death metal, his bass lines are creative and energetic.
Although he can adapt musically to many styles, his political stance remains firm and unmistakable: always against oppression and in favor of social justice, the economic independence of nations, and their political sovereignty.

Guitar
Born and raised in Istanbul, Eko handles both guitars and the producer’s seat.
He spends his time exploring everything from modern metal to Japanese city pop.
A self-taught nerd, he punches way above his height (ironically, he’s the tallest in the band) and never holds himself back from chasing fresh sounds.
He loves cheap guitar gear and hates fascists.
He also releases solo work under the name ERKMEN.
